The handover of 100 Memeza Personal Alarms to Grade 7 scholars attending Hlangabeza Primary School took place on Monday the 19th of April 2021.
The Memeza Personal Alarm is a small alarm which reaches 140 decibels when activated, and is ideal for attaching to handbags, car keys and schoolbags.
“Memeza Personal Alarms make a difference in my community. They are portable, easy to carry and are a deterrent from crime against the most vulnerable members of our community – the elderly, women and children.” says Joseph Tshabalala, Gateway Mall Centre Manager.
Gateway Mall has donated 350 Memeza Personal Alarms in the Carletonville community since 2019.
